Municipal Forestry Institute Training Opportunity Longmeadow’s Tree Warden and Conservation Agent, Leah Grigorov, will discuss the exciting, high-level training opportunity provided by the Institute. This intensive week-long training helps you master the leadership and management tools needed to take your program to the next level. 

Massachusetts 2024 Wildfire Overview and Post-Fire Risk Mitigation. DCR Chief Fire Warden, David Celino, will discuss the historical impacts of wildfire in Massachusetts and the very active 2024 wildfire season. How post-fire mitigation of fire-damaged trees adjacent to roads, trails, and other passive recreation areas became a significant issue in 2024.
