Municipal Forestry Institute Training Opportunity
Longmeadow’s Tree Warden and Conservation Agent Leah Grigorov will discuss the exciting, high-level training opportunity provided by the Institute. This intensive week long training helps you master the leadership and management tools needed to take your program to the next level.

Emerging research suggests that industry-standard arboricultural pruning may increase the population of herbivorous invertebrates associated with a tree for at least two years following pruning.
Stella Dee is an MCA and ISA-certified arborist, a Ph.D. candidate supervised by Dr. Brian Kane at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a research associate with the Frank A. Waugh Arboretum under the auspices of University of Massachusetts Facilities & Campus Services. Her research has been supported by a TREE Fund Hyland R. Johns Grant, New England ISA, the Garden Club of America, the Bartlett Tree Foundation, and the Massachusetts Tree Wardens and Foresters Association. She completed a Master of Forestry at Michigan Technological University.
